A planned and strategic approach is adopted for training Engineering students to imporove their employability skills. The following are the training programs taken up
Students of BTech CSE and ECE are oriented towards careers in IT field in B.Tech I year and a continuous IT program which includes IT workshop, level up, data structures and algorthims and the top 400 students of CMR Group are identified and are gradually taken to a product development training which includes preparing them for Hackathons, Dynamic programming, Scenario based Programming , Boot camp, Full Stack Web development, Phython /Java Training.the students of this pool win All India level Competitions like Smart India Hackathon, Coding Competitions by several companies.
In view of restricted options and less no of opportunities available in core Industry, in order to secure the careers of circuit branch especially ECE and EEE branch students and core branch students MECH and CIVIL, a separate IT training program is introduced to them apart from regular curriculum. The main aim of this is to prepare the students of Non IT branches who are interested to pursue career in IT Industry. The institution has seen an increase of placements in NON IT departments by 40 % with this approach.
IT: Data Structures and Algorthims, Full Stack Web Development, Java, Phython, Technologies like Data sciences, AL/ML, Cybersecurity, UI/UX . Training in Service Now, Salesforce, Big Data, Cloud Computing.
ECE: IOT, MEMS (Micro Electro Mechanical Systems),Design of VLSI Systems,Modelling, Simulation Using MATLAB,AI Based IOT, Arduino ,Rasberrypi, Micro Processors Training.
EEE: Python for IOT,Python for AI/ML,Arduino training, Micro Processors Training & Projects, Advanced coding PSS 3 training,Bootcamp for product development training.
MECH: Design & Application using CATIA V5,ANSYS,3D-Printing Technology-FDM Technology, Design & Manufacture of All Terrain Vehicle(ATV),CAD/CAM.
CIVIL: XILINX,ETABS,STAAD PRO.
The Campus Recruitment Training (CRT) program was a powerful initiative to impart soft skills which will help them clear recruitment entrance exams. The training programs were initiated by commencing a Memorandum of Understanding with training experts in the field. Students staying back after college hours are a voluntary decision on part of the student. Every club formed in college is interdisciplinary and involves working together expeditiously. Participation in a sudden jam session, group discussions, debates and other cultural activities has broadened the horizons for student interaction and development.
Formulating a streamlined practice has proven to be a task that involves all departments taking the initiative and the noteworthy involvement of the Humanities department. The communication and interview skills of the student have been the major target area for the management.
CRT mainly comprises of preparing students for attempting and clearing the preliminary written test, Technical Interview and HR Interview. Additionally Personality Development and Soft Skills Training also is provided to perform confidently in Interviews.
The Training Program generally deals with all the aspects of soft skills required by any individual to face an interview process. The program covers the following aspects are dealt with:
